TOP FENDERS LIMITED OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (OH&S) POLICY STATEMENT

Top Fenders Limited (TFL) accepts that it has a legal and moral obligation to ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy working environment by providing safe systems of work, to prevent injury and ill health to its employees and anyone else who may be affected by its activities.

TFL has established processes to identify significant occupational health and safety hazards posed by its activities and is committed to the continuous improvement of its OH&S management system. TFL performance is monitored and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure compliance. The management system is certified to OHSAS 18001 standard.

To achieve this standard and meet its responsibilities, globally, TFL will:

  • Comply with OH&S legal and other requirements applicable to its OH&S hazards.
  • Assess the risks to OH&S of its employees and provide control measures.
  • Set relevant OH&S objectives and targets to ensure continual improvement.
  • Provide a safe working environment and equipment.
  • Manage the activities of service providers working on behalf of TFL.
  • Provide adequate and appropriate information, training, supervision and support in OH&S matters.
  • Co-operate and co-ordinate its activities with other employers where a workplace is shared.
  • Investigate all significant accidents and incidents promptly and take appropriate steps to minimise the risk to prevent recurrence.
  • Leadership consult with and inform employees and others on OH&S arrangements, including significant changes to the workplace activities.
  • Actively encourage employee interest and participation on safely-related activities.

In countries where TFL employees operate and no equivalent legislation exists, UK legislation will be taken as a guide to best practice.

Every employee and service provider has a legal responsibility to look after their own health and safety and the safety of those who may be affected by their actions or omissions. They must comply with all TFL applicable rules and client OH&S requirements whilst working for or on behalf of TFL.

TFL Leadership Team, has the overall responsibility for ensuring the policy and all OH&S arrangements are implemented, monitored and reviewed.

This policy is subject to annual review to ensure it continues to meet TFL requirement.
